C&O Trail to Harper's Ferry Anniversary Ride
Here are some shots from an anniversary ride Michelle and I took along the C&O canal from Georgetown to Harper's Ferry. Beautiful scenery, uninterrupted mountain biking for 60+ miles a wonderful B&B named the Jackson Rose (after Stonewall Jackson who took up residence there during the Civil War). I recommend not taking the detour as that section of the trail was the only technical section we found other than the mud puddles here an Color d there. An awesome emmission free adventure for anyone in the DC area! The entire canal extends up to Cumberland and then I hear another trail will take you all the way to Pittsburg. That's like having a bike path from LA to San Francisco!!
