Bike Manhattan
A Little Sport Utility Effective Cycling in Manhattan. If the Critical Mass Riders here really want to make a good impression, obey all traffic signals, that will just make the rides that much longer and more fun because nobody will be able to complain. The photo at the bottom left is looking back at a completely jammed intersection. I was able to squeaze Jim's bike through on a green light and got a chance to ride the shot on the right. IMAGINE Manhattan as carfree as the photo on the right. Same road, just after the blocked intersection. The intersection had been blocked for so long that, if you look really carefully, you'll see a couple of guys who had taken back the street with an impromptu game of frisbee. Oh yeah, even McD's is hip in Manhattan with a MacVeggie Burger, demand them for your town and say yes to a more energy efficient lifestyle (and maybe a more healthy one too).
